| Description | The basic principles of Christian ethics will first of all be established. Then the following topics will be covered: Know how to evaluate one's culture in the light of the Bible. Know how to discern God's will for one's personal life by applying Biblical principles, especially for major life decisions. Understand what it means to 'submit' to authorities. Being prepared for persecution- know how the early Church responded to persecution. Know how to respond conscientiously and calmly to interrogators. Christian responsibilities toward society: the balance between being 'separated' from society and having a witness to it. Work, gambling, eating of meat issues, alcohol, racism, poverty, AIDS. Abortion. |
