Description |
By using the principles studied in BIBL201, the student will learn how to set out Biblical doctrines clearly. He will also be able to distinguish them from the false teachings commonly found in other religions. The following topics will be covered:
Be able to explain that Jesus is not the Son of God in a carnal sense; explain the virgin birth to objectors.
Explain what the expression 'Son of God' means.
Be able to explain why the doctrine of the Trinity is not a blasphemy; understand the relationship of the Son to the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Explain the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ.
Explain salvation in the light of sacrifice: how Jesus Christ took the place of sinful humanity on the cross. |
