Description LFTW’s Modular Addictions Training is designed to provide training options for churches and projects who want staff and volunteers to understand the issues involved in working with addictions and key elements in the caring process. As these Modules are developed from LFTW’s University Certificate Course they are, where appropriate, mapped to DANOS* professional competencies, as they include not only a learning but also relate learning to current and future practice. Individual modules or days can be delivered, either as stand alone training, or within a specific training and development plan, dependent upon your organisation or church’s needs or requirements. Modules: Module A: An introduction to drugs and addictive behaviour Module B: Working with people who have addictive behaviour problems Module C: Relapse and denial Module D: Co-dependency, the most underestimated addiction. Module E: Alcoholism and twelve step groups Module F: Illegal and prescription drug dependency and detoxification Module G: Eating disorders ( including an introduction to self harm) Module H: Adrenalin-based addictions (Including pornography)
